As president of the DC/MD LN, it is my honor to welcome you to our website and hope the information you find here will motivate you to join our exciting group.
We celebrated the 100-year history of the District of Columbia Constituent League on April 11, 2017 and look forward to the next 100 years. As educators, our focus must be on the future and the many challenges it brings us. Our students will face contemporary issues which past leaders could not have imagined. You are a nurse educator because you believe you can make an impact on our profession.
Join us in the ongoing work to define best practices in nursing education while we build friendships and foster personal growth. On March 23, 2020 we will host a dinner on The Environment and Health. A day-long educational workshop on November 6, 2020 on Clinical Judgement and Creativity in Nursing Education, featuring nationally recognized speaker Dr. Judith Herrman. We hope to see you there.
There are so many challenges which we, as educators, are faced with today. Be a part of the journey into the next century of work! I am looking forward to meeting and working with you.
President, District of Columbia/Maryland League for Nursing
